UCSF

January 19, 2012

We spent the afternoon down at UCSF consulting with Dr. Adil Daud -  a very knowledgeable doctor who specializes in treating melanoma and co-directs UCSF's Melanoma Center. He talked with us about some of the different treatments that are currently available. Dr. Daud also recommended some other tests that will help us determine the best way to proceed after the surgery. It is really great to have his expertise available to us.

Tomorrow morning, Madeline will be admitted to Kaiser hospital at 7:00 am. First they plan to do a test on the possible spot on the right side of her neck, and then they will do the long surgery where they take out all the lymph nodes on the left side of her neck.

Thank you again for your prayers and for all the encouragement. We're hoping Madeleine gets a good night sleep tonight!

This is Kelly, Chelsea Ridgway's Mom. I believe in the power of prayer and I will be praying for you constantly. Be strong and know that people everywhere are praying for you and wishing you the best. I am a nurse at Memorial and can help you with anything that I can. Chelsea has told me what a nice person you are and she is praying right along side of me. Hang in there, Maddie. Know that you are loved... Kelly

Hey, Girl--got your pic saved to my desktop so that every time I get on the computer to do attendance, I remember to pray for you. We all love you very much and are extremely proud of you. Hang in there. --Stacey--
